Rob Word's love of the West is reflected in his producing credits, which include the CBS movie, Wyatt Earp: Return to Tombstone; Western Round-Up starring Roy Rogers for PBS; 13 half-hours of Young Duke: The Series and Roy Rogers: An American Hero for A&E's "Biography" series.
Rob recently completed writing Citizen Curly, a script for Columbia Pictures, and is developing and executive producing 65 half-hours of Totally Tooned In, a cartoon series for Columbia TriStar Television.
Other TV movie producing credits include: Attack of the Killer B Movies for NBC, The Adventures of William Tell for the Family Channel, Robin Hood: The Movie for the Disney Channel and Bush Doctor, Peking Encounter, Secret of the Black Dragon, and the Emmy nominated special, An Ozzie and Harriet Christmas, for syndication. Series include: T and T starring Mr. T, and Crossbow for the Family Channel and The Laurel and Hardy Show for the Comedy Channel.
Rob Word was a programming consultant for Encore's Westerns Channel, where he appeared in a tribute to William S. Hart, which featured several of Word's original Western oil paintings.
As Sr. Vice President Creative Affairs at Qintex Entertainment, Rob oversaw the promotion and distribution of the hit mini-series, Lonesome Dove. He has hosted and produced several live Western events and film festivals including Memories of Lonesome Dove with Robert Duvall, and is on the Executive Committee and one of the founding fathers of the Golden Boot Awards.
